The Western Regional Sales Manager reports to the VP of Sales and is a key member of the company’s sales and marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations within their assigned region, including market competitiveness, pricing and distribution, and channel strategy. The Western Regional Sales Manager will be the driving force behind the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals for the assigned territory.

  

Responsibilities

  • Manage the region’s network of architectural lighting representative agencies.
  • Establish training and sales incentive programs for the representative agencies.
  • Drive the development of regional sales strategies.
  • Work closely with the VP of Sales to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
  • Develop and advance key specifier relationships by calling on architects, engineers, and lighting designers in major markets.
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Develop and execute lead programs and implement reporting and feedback mechanism with the representative agencies to track key quotation statistics, forecast incoming orders and assist in production planning.
  • Manage overall sales process and set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
  • Collaborate in developing pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners.
  • May be asked to assist in the collection of outstanding invoices in the assigned region.
  • Act as a role model for the company culture.
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a minimum of five years of experience in a specification sales manager or regional manager role in the architectural lighting community.
  • Must possess a proven track record of sales growth.
  • Experience in selling high end architectural lighting products through value and engineering rather than price.
  • Exceptional knowledge of competitors, competitive products, and the path to market of a specification grade architectural lighting product.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to command respect through business savvy, polish and poise in both client presentations and social situations.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, architecture, theater or related field is required.

Role and responsibilities

The Buyer/Planner performs and/or coordinates the planning, scheduling, procurement and expediting for specific product lines to meet master schedule and customer order requirements as well as procuring indirect spend items as needed. The Buyer/Planner is responsible for maintaining inventory levels supporting production/R&D and customer requirements while maintaining economic control of inventories.

  • Develop and identify supply sources that are relevant to the needs of the business.

Tempo is seeking an experienced 2nd shift Production Supervisor to oversee production operations. The Supervisor will be required to ensure that 2nd shift manufacturing operations remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. The supervisor must be competent and comprehend complex operations. They should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. The goal of the Production Supervisor is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

Responsibilities

Role and responsibilities

Under supervision of the Engineering Department, the QA Inspector ensures that the goods received, assembled or produced meet all company requirements. The Inspector also ensures that production processes are being performed in the manner consistent with Assembly Drawings, Work Instructions and Training.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs Receiving Inspection of components per internal documentation and prepares necessary reports.
  • Performs first article inspections of mechanical and electrical components and prepares necessary reports for Engineering review.
  • Prepares non-conformance reports and manages disposition of nonconforming materials.
  • Performs production inspections, and ensures that all processes are controlled and being performed per internal requirements.
  • Provides feedback to the Assembly Supervisor and Engineering, as necessary, as to possible issues with production processes, and makes suggestions for improvements.
  • Work should reflect attention to care, quality, creativity and the core values of the Company.
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of all quality procedures and work instructions relating to the job and for suggesting improvements to these procedures where opportunities for improvement may be present
  • Assist Engineering in performing Root Cause analysis on quality problems.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Role and responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains equipment in production and engineering departments including equipment having pneumatic and PLC control systems
  • Perform routine maintenance activities typical for industrial buildings including basic electrical and plumbing repair.
  • Coordinate and supervisor outside contractors for facilities repairs, tenant improvements and other activities as necessary
  • Assist engineering staff with in-house mock-up and product installation in Tempo facilities

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High level of proficiency in troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of electro-pneumatic equipment including systems controlled by PLC
  • Proven hands-on experience using standard and power tools to repair equipment and perform general maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skill and experience with operating mills, drill press, band-saw and similar machining equipment
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance of equipment having tooling dies
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building systems
  • Valid, current CA license with excellent driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in manufacturing environment.

Role and responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting sales and engineering in the application evaluation and product selection/configuration stages of the sales process. The Application Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users as well as identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.   This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can be “hands-on” with the products. This position will report to the EVP of R&D and will interface on a routine basis Engineering and Sales and Marketing. Responsibilities

  • Management of Beta product deployment to selected customers including defining product configuration and application take-offs.
